This workshop will teach you the importance of credit, how credit scores are calculated and how to improve your scores as outlined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Learn how to dispute in-accurate and misleading negative items the factual and legal way. Find out what happens behind the doors of the private billion-dollar sectors known as the credit bureaus.

This workshop will cover basic information in buying and selling small businesses. Participants will learn basic business valuation approaches, the role of business brokers and important questions to ask before making an acquisition. We invite you to bring your lunch.

Amanda K. Flynn is a Dallas Metropolitan SBDC Business Advisor. Her background is in financial analysis, business valuation, and the trucking/transportation industry. She has significant experience in financial modeling and forecasting, process improvement, and overall analysis of small business operations. Amanda has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science, Financial Analysis from Louisiana State University. She is currently studying to receive her Business Certified Appraiser (BCA) designation from The International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA).
